We invite a group of work-in-progress and change addicts together for a day, give them a problem space and help them practice various Kanban techniques. The goal is to learn from each other in a simulated and safe environment; to see evolutionary change in action. Our retreats are considered a breeding ground for passionate committed people willing to share and learn from each other.
Which techniques do you mean?
We don’t have a complete list, as we also hope the participants will bring in their own experience, their undocumented gems straight from the trenches. But techniques could include things like define policies, visualization of workflow, risk management, collaborative problem solving, evolutionary change, setting WIP, classes of service, improvement models, variability analysis, scaling and much more.
Is it a fixed agenda?
Our retreats have a predefined but community generated agenda, this not only sets the right expectations for the upcoming session but also provides you with the opportunity to do some additional reading, research, or other kinds of preparation. If you have specific problems in your implementation our you need someone to share ideas with, we provide plenty of space to do so.
